These long-term utility plans are submitted every two years to the California Public Utilities Commission. They forecast load and energy needs, detail how to achieve state and local climate goals, and model renewable energy integration.

  • Rate Change February 15, 2024: Set GreenSource generation charges to 6.5%-9.0% lower than PG&E rates, depending on customer class and usage; Set the rate for TotalGreen to $0.01 per kilowatt-hours above GreenSource for all rate schedules; Expand SJ Cares rate discount to residents of 16,854 affordable housing units, and, as a 12-month pilot, to up to 1,000 customers that participate in the County of Santa Clara’s Homelessness Prevention Program. | Council Memo
  • Rate Change January 1, 2023: Maintain GreenSource renewable content at 60%, suspend GreenValue service and transfer customers to GreenSource, establish cost-of-service model for setting rates that are competitive with PG&E, and increase SJ Cares customer discount from 5% to 10% – Memo
