Diversity and inclusion in the energy industry are important to us.

Supplier diversity has a positive impact on our community. We encourage the diverse businesses that we work with to register with the California Public Utilities Commission’s (CPUC) Supplier Diversity Program. The CPUC administers and monitors diversity in procurement by California utilities. Utilities like San José Clean Energy report on diversity in their procurement and submit a plan to increase diversity on an annual basis.*

SUPPLIER CLEARINGHOUSE

The CPUC Supplier Diversity Program also oversees the Supplier Clearinghouse and certification process for women; minority; lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT); persons with disabilities; and disabled veteran-owned businesses. Certified businesses are published in the Supplier Clearinghouse, which many public and private utilities use to identify companies in their reporting requirements. Consider becoming certified if your business falls into one of these categories.

Your business’s information will be part of a searchable Supplier Clearinghouse database that is available to utilities and other State entities with supplier diversity goals and requirements.

Certification is valid for three years.
Certification is awarded within 45 days from completing the application.
