Diversity and inclusion in the energy industry are important to us. The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) administers the Supplier Diversity Program, which monitors diversity in procurement by California utilities. Utilities like SJCE are required to report on diversity in their procurement and submit a plan to increase diversity on an annual basis.*

The Supplier Diversity Program also oversees the Supplier Clearinghouse and certification process for women; minority; lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT); and disabled veteran-owned business enterprises. Certified firms are published in the Supplier Clearinghouse, which many public and private utilities use to identify companies in their reporting requirements. If your business falls into one of these categories, you could apply to become certified (if you are not already). It is FREE to certify your business.
